The Chronicle of Higher Education has an interesting article on Horowitz and his personal crusade against what he takes to be exclusionary leftist hegemony in the academy. Among the telling psychological insights into his motives for his current "academic bill of rights" crusade is this complaint against academia for ignoring his books after he made the U-turn from far left to far right: "For 20 years, when I have written books on the left, the left has ignored me," he says. "It's just what Stalin did to Trotsky."
